It s a wonderful dessert that s quick and easy to make. In a small bowl combine the oats brown sugar and flour. Toss apples with sugar flour lemon juice and cinnamon. Microwave 1 minute to soften the apples. Microwave uncovered on high 7 to 10 minutes rotating dish 1 2 turn after 5 minutes until apples are tender.
Add the butter and blend with your fingertips until the texture is crumbly. In small bowl stir remaining ingredients. Microwave on high 100 3 4 minutes stirring frequently during last 2 minutes until crisp and toasted. Stir in oats brown sugar flour and nuts. I don t usually like baking with the microwave but this recipe works great.
First make the apple crisp topping by stirring the ingredients together until they resemble the texture of fine sand. Best served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping. In medium bowl microwave butter or margarine 15 seconds or until melted. Cook in the microwave oven for 1 to 1 minutes or until the juices are bubbling. Transfer to a greased microwave safe 9 in.
